Splash into Pre-K also integrates all of the curricular areas including Reading and Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies, Health, and Art into the daily instruction. The thoroughand comprehensive lessons that interest activities that engage children along with a flexible instruction plan that allows children to learn and explore at many different levels. Teachers can pick and choose activities depending on individual child interest. Kindergarten (KG1 & KG2):

Children from the age of four to five years may attend Kindergarten. The premises consist of spacious and bright classrooms, separate rooms large indoor and outdoor play areas. The early years of education are critical in laying the foundation for your child’s future. In Kindergarten I and II, emphasis is placed on the development of a positive self-concept, appropriate socialization and readiness skills. The foundations are laid for a happy and successful school experience. Fundamental skills in reading and mathematics are taught in an active, stimulating and accepting environment.Components of a balanced language arts program emphasize development of skills that allow students to comprehend, interpret, and convey meaning. The textbook for reading is Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Journeys Common Core. It covers the fundamentals of English Language Arts. Opportunities for oral language development, writing, and reading, creative drama, art and cross-curricular activities make this a truly integrated program.Our curriculum does not concentrate solely on academic achievement, but also on the physical, emotional and social development of children at pre-school age level. Five main criteria are considered for successful entrance into the program. Children must be:

Age appropriate for requested grade level.

Able to separate from their caregiver and demonstrate a readiness to participate in the classroom.

Bathroom independent.

Able to engage in an activity following direction.

Able to demonstrate fine and gross motor skill development at age appropriate level.
